Community Service Trip for Spring
May 12th, 2008
MSA needs volunteers! On
Sunday, June 1, we will be going to CircEsteem, a organization that
builds self-esteem in children by training them in circus arts. The
basic plan for the day is to clean up the practice area with the
kids, and afterwards we will have the opportunity to learn a few
circus acts from the kids themselves!
Volunteers will meet at 9:15 am at the entrance of the Reynolds club
and be back on campus by 3 pm. Transportation to and from the center
will be provided. Breakfast and lunch will also be provided for all
volunteers.
If you are interested in participating in this amazing opportunity
to experience a cool arts center on the north side of Chicago,
please email Fida at
abuisnef@uchicago.edu by Monday, May 26th.

Friday, May 9th at 8 pm.
There will be smores (halal) over a big bon fire and hot
cocoa. Please contact Nadia Ismail at

questions or directions.
Also, the MSA will be screening USA vs Al-Arian on Thursday
May 15th at 6:30pm. ”USA vs

American-Muslim family Al-Arian's desperate attempt to fight
terrorism charges leveled by the US Government. There will be free
food from Cedars and discussion with Abdullah Al-Arian, the son of
the accused doctor. Please click here for

MSA Book List
April 14, 2008
The MSA has a new
book list
that is being stored as a Google spreadsheet online

To view the book list, please click here. To add in your own
books, you must have a gMail account, and with that, please email
kalam.adil@gmail.com to add
